I am at a ripe near 28 years old, living in Swan River, Manitoba. My life has been on the move so much
lately a little stability would work well.
- Currently - Senior account manager, Swan River Manitoba.
- Last year - Lived in Yorkton, Saskatchewan since Sept 2004. I was an entry account manager at the bank where I trained
for, 6 months training, and account manager for 1 year ending May 2006
- Before Sept 2004 - Lived in Oklahoma for 2 years as a Plant Care Specialist in a research greenhouse.
- Prior Sept 2002 - Saskatoon Agriculture College, University of Saskatchewan.
It all started in a small town called Ituna. As I was born to great parents Gordon and Pat Petruka on the (soon to be)
family farm. I spent the next 18 years there going to Ituna High School (not all 18) and graduated in the wonderful year of
1997. During those youthful years I enjoyed helping to make a living on our mixed grain and cattle farm. As a typical High
School kid in a local town I probably spent too much time partying, drinking, and having fun playing football for the Ituna
Trojans.(Something I do miss)
I decided it best to further my education at the University of Saskatchewan as an Agro
first year. Now going from a party atmoshere to an all out 4 year party was pretty exciting. I will miss quite a few good
times here. As it isn't enough, I had two Voc Ag roomates which take school as serious as I took high school, a good learning
atmosphere not!!!
Currently there is a void in my personal life, that has no defined path at present. My professional life has a
path, my family life is also on path, but my life path has stopped at a crossroad.
2002 Harvest on Family Farm in Ituna |

What can I say. I am a farmer at heart, but currently work as a weekend farmer, or part-time farmer. I try to make
it out every available weekend for seeding, and haying and harvest, the three most time consuming labor intensive farm periods.
I try to help with maximum hay cutting as Dad and my sister Andrea handle most of the baling and fencing and other assorted
tasks. Its my way of feeling important I guess.
